US poultry, egg council elects chairman of the board

The USA Poultry and Egg Export Council elected Thierry Murad as chairman of the board for 2011-2012. As chairman, Murad will head an eight-member executive committee that sets USAPEEC policy regarding its efforts to promote increased exports of U.S. chicken, turkey, duck and eggs.

As chairman, Murad will head an eight-member executive committee that sets USAPEEC policy regarding its efforts to promote increased exports of U.S. chicken, turkey, duck and eggs. Murad, global product manager of poultry at AJC International, was elected to succeed outgoing chairman Joel Coleman of Butterball, at USAPEEC's 22nd annual meeting in West Virginia.
Other USAPEEC members elected at the meeting include Duane Rhodes, senior vice president of international sales at Tyson Foods, as first vice chairman of the board, and Chaz Wilson, vice president of Grove Services, as second vice chairman. Jim Hoben, vice president of poultry at Interra International, was re-elected to serve as secretary-treasurer.
