I have compiled a list of scientific journals that, in my opinion, excel in publishing quality pig nutrition research reports -- as measured by originality and applicability. This is, of course, a very biased, subjective and basically a personal list of preference. But, it reflects my following of these journals since 1988, when I first entered college and I discovered there was a library full of journals. So, here’s my top six list of journals that I follow to keep me updated in pig nutrition research advances:
- Journal of Animal Science
- Animal Feed Science and Technology
- Journal of Animal Physiology and Animal Nutrition
- Canadian Journal of Animal Science
- Livestock Science
Now, these are the ones that immediately come to my mind. I receive alerts from a host of diverse journals, but for pigs, I believe this list captures 90 percent of published research.
What do you think?
