Like so many consumers, I’m now the proud owner of an air fryer. This means that I’m always on the hunt for things to cook in it. I recently tried Perdue Farms new Air Fryer Ready Crispy Wings and they were easy and delicious.

Perdue’s Air Fryer Chicken Wings come in three flavors:

Hot N’ Spicy: Flavored with a paprika spice blend.

Lemon Pepper: Marinated in lemon oil and lemon juice with turmeric and onion.

Roasted: Coated in onion and garlic.

“When ordering takeout, many of us have experienced the disappointing bite of not-so-crispy wings. Knowing 75% of households in the U.S. have air fryers, Perdue saw an opportunity to create the first of its kind chicken wing uniquely made for the air fryer, conveniently delivering the crispiest wings in just 16-18 minutes,” says Cody Walter, senior marketing manager at Perdue Foods, said in a statement.

My experience

My husband and I cooked up a package of the frozen roasted chicken wings. We’ve tried making chicken wings in the air fryer before, but the results were always drier than we prefer.

They were easy to prepare, requiring only 16-18 minutes in an air fryer set to 400 °F. I found the instructions easy-to-follow and had the wings plated in no time, along with a side of blue cheese, of course.

The wings had a zesty, vinegar-y flavor and were crispy, juicy and tasty. I will say that each wing was smaller than what I’d usually find in a restaurant, but they were still much better than the ones I’ve tried to cook in the past.

I’d definitely purchase these again and look forward to trying the other flavors. Convenience is always a top purchasing factor for busy consumers, so I can definitely see these becoming popular for families, busy professionals and anyone else who wants a quick, easy meal
