OK Foods has promoted Randy Meyers to chief operating officer.
The position of chief operating officer is newly-created, as the company has made two acquisitions in the past 18 months, one in Oklahoma and the most recent in Alabama.
Meyers, as the previous senior vice president of sales and marketing for OK Foods, brings more than 25 years of industry experience to the new role.
OK Foods Chief Executive Officer R. Trent Goins made the announcement internally to team members following last week’s acquisition of Albertville Quality Foods, located in Albertville, Alabama.
“As our company has grown, so have our operational needs,” said Goins. “Randy brings the industry experience and proven sales performance we need within our growing company. He fits the mold of our sales-driven company and knows that our transparency, communication and teamwork with both our employees and our customers are what sets us apart from other producers.”
Meyers brings a wealth of industry experience into his new role. Meyers joined OK Foods in July of 2014. OK Foods will conduct a national search for an executive vice president of sales and marketing in the coming months.
