Popowycz promoted to CEO of Case Farms

Case Farms has made three promotions within its executive leadership team, including naming Mike Popowycz as the company's CEO.

Mike Popowycz has been promoted to vice chairman and CEO of Case Farms.

Popowycz has been with Case Farms since 1987. During his time with the company he has served as corporate controller, corporate treasurer and chief financial officer (CFO). Having been elected to the company’s board of directors in 2005, he has consistently remained on the board. He most recently simultaneously served as CFO and vice chairman.

As CEO, he will retain his position as vice chairman.

In addition to his leadership roles with Case Farms, Popowycz has been on the National Chicken Council (NCC) board since 2012. He was chairman of the NCC board during for the 2016-17 term and as vice chairman for the term prior to that.

“Mike has worked with me since I started the company in 1987 and has been an integral part of our growth and success over the past 35 years,” said Thomas R. Shelton, founder and chairman of Case Farms. “We are excited for him to lead the company in this new position.”

Originally from Pennsylvania, he graduated from Moravian College with a degree in accounting.

Joseph Long named CFO

Case Farms has appointed Joseph D. Long to succeed Popowycz as the company’s CFO.

Long joined Case Farms in 2003 and has served as treasury analyst, senior treasury analyst, treasury manager and most recently as vice president of finance. He is originally from North Carolina and graduated from North Carolina Wesleyan College with a degree in accounting and business administration and received his MBA from East Carolina University.

Caudle named vice president and general manager of Ohio Division

Samuel Caudle has been named vice president and general manager of Case Farms’ Ohio Division.

Caudle joined Case Farms in 1990 and has served as complex controller, plant manager and most recently as vice president and general manager of the Winesburg facility. He has over 30 years of experience in the poultry industry. Caudle graduated from Wingate University with a degree in business.
