Aviagen’s parent stock customer Agrited Nigeria recently joined the Ross 140 Club at a ceremony on June 20 in Ibadan, Lagos, where Ross Middle East & Africa (MEA) Technical Service Manager Ibrahim Ibrahim presented the 140 Club Certificate and Award to Agrited General Manager Alon Blum.
Agrited secured its first ever entry into the Ross MEA 140 Club by recording over 140 chicks at 60 weeks from the majority of its Ross 308 flocks in 2016. The company’s continuous improvement across all levels of production has seen parent stock performance rise consistently year on year, and results this year indicate the company is on course to achieve 145 chicks/HH for 2017. Agrited is a leading parent stock company and the Ross 308 broiler chick distributor in Nigeria with an average annual growth of 21% due to demand for the Agrited Ross 308 broiler from the local market.
“We are thrilled to welcome Agrited to the Ross 140 Club,” said Ibrahim. “It is a strong indication that the Ross 140 Club is taking off in the region and having a company with the caliber and vision of Agrited Nigeria involved is fantastic. Our MEA customers are dedicated to the 140 Club and the genetic potential of the Ross brand is being expressed with their excellent results. Our mission is to continue to provide our Ross 308 customers with the best quality products and highest levels of satisfaction and performance.”
“It is a great honor to become a member of the prestigious Ross 140 Club,” added Alon Blum. “Our successful entry is down to the collaborative efforts of our employees through their outstanding teamwork and ambition. To achieve the results required for entry into the Club is not easy and even harder in our environment, but we proved that with meticulous work, the right support and a dedicated team it is more than possible to not just meet but exceed the performance objectives of the Ross bird which is exceptional.”
