Mini egg facility educates consumers

The Critter Barn in Zeeland Township, Mich., opened a new building to provide visitors with an understanding of the modern egg industry. The Hen House features a scaled-down version of an egg-producing facility, with 72 leghorn hens and 12 cages.

Mary Rottschafer, according an article in the Hollandsentinal.com, believes much of the criticism of the industry stems from a misunderstanding of egg farming.
