Frozen egg stock levels increase

Total frozen stock levels of eggs on Feb. 28 were 1 percent above previous year levels, but were 32 percent above January levels.

Year-over-year changes show egg whites down 11 percent; egg yolks down 18 percent; whole and mixed eggs up 4 percent; and unclassified frozen eggs, up 8 percent.

Compared to January 2008, February egg white stocks were unchanged; egg yolks down 20 percent; whole and mixed stocks, up 38 percent; and unclassified frozen eggs up 64 percent.
