Avian Technology International, specializing in the export of broiler hatching eggs, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
Fritz Kempker started the company in 1989 with a strong base in hatching egg distribution in the Caribbean and Central America and a background in equipment sales. Today, Kempker’s sons also serve the family-owned and run business—Jason as vice president and Tyler as head of the injector equipment division.

"We've expanded the business from the Caribbean and Central America to the Middle East,” Kempker said. "We have seen sustained growth domestically.”
Expansion adds warehouse
The company's growth led to a relocation of the corporate headquarters four years ago into a new 15,000-square foot facility on White Sulphur Road in Gainesville, Ga. The new site gave the company 10,000 square feet of warehouse space.
In 2007, Avian Technology opened a new climate-controlled egg distribution center at its headquarters. It offers hatching eggs for worldwide distribution through its subsidiary ATI Farms. Avian Technology is also a direct distributor of poultry and swine production equipment.
"We deal with a lot of family businesses,” Fritz Kempker said. "We try to build lasting relationships with customers. It always makes me proud to be able to introduce my sons as being part of the business and our success.”
