North Carolina agricultural biotechnology company BioResource International Inc. has named Giles Shih Ph.D., president and co-founder, as chairman. He succeeds his father and co-founding partner Jason Shih Ph.D., who is stepping down from the chairmanship role and will continue his work with the company in an advisory capacity.
Giles Shih has a Ph.D. in microbiology and molecular genetics from Emory University, as well as an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Prior to co-founding BRI, he served as a consultant for biotechnology venture capital firms.
