Belarus has amended import regulations to say that dioxin tests are no longer needed to import poultry produced in Germany before Nov. 1, 2010, or after April 15, 2011, according to reports.
In addition, pork and pork products produced before Nov. 1, 2010, or after May 1, 2011, no longer require testing. The restrictions on the import of pigs for slaughtering and young pigs for fattening are still in place.
The regulations were implemented after a dioxin scandal in Germany in early 2011; since then, Germany has provided reports on the country's updated measures to prevent dioxins from getting into animal products.
