North Carolina agricultural biotechnology company BioResource International Inc. has appointed Chairman and CEO Giles Shih, Ph.D., to a three-year appointment on its advisory council.
Shih will join 21 industry leaders from businesses and universities, as well as government and private organizations across North Carolina.
The council, established in December 2010 by the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, identifies goals, strategies and activities to strengthen agricultural biotechnology endeavors throughout the state and assists in implementation of recommendations from the state’s 30 in 10 Strategic Report.
