From WATTAgNet:
A 73-year-old man died after being found unresponsive at a JBS pork processing plant in Ottumwa, Iowa.
The man was identified as William Crowell, who was a former supervisor at the plant. He was found at the plant and later transported to a nearby hospital, where he died.
Authorities believe there was no foul play involved, and that Crowell apparently died of self-inflicted injuries. Since he is no longer employed at the plant, it is unknown how he gained access at the plant.
The plant has been part of JBS operations since 2015. It was one of the facilities JBS obtained when it acquired the assets of Cargill Pork. Other facilities included in that acquisition were a pork processing plant in Beardstown, Illinois; feed mills in London, Arkansas; Hedrick, Iowa; Centralia, Missouri; Smithton, Missouri; and Dalhart, Texas; and hog farms in Morrilton, Arkansas; Umpire, Arkansas; Cameron, Oklahoma; and Dalhart, Texas
