Banque named president of Zoetis US operations

Her prior experience includes holding leadership roles for Bristol Myers-Squibb and Novartis

Ester Banque has been named executive vice president and president of U.S. operations, for the Zoetis, effective July 10, 2023.

Banque brings to the company over 30 years of experience in health sciences with top tier pharmaceutical companies. She will be a member of the Zoetis executive team and report to Chief Executive Officer Kristin Peck.

In this role, Banque will have responsibility for the company’s U.S. commercial operations, continuing to broaden and expand the company’s key franchises and shape the market for future innovation - providing exceptional experiences for companion animal and livestock customers.

In connection with her appointment, William (“Chip”) Dorsey, interim Head of U.S. Operations since February 2023, will continue in his finance leadership role and be a resource to Banque as she onboards.

Most recently, Banque has served as senior vice president and general manager of Bristol Myers-Squibb’s U.S. Hematology & Cell Therapy Business, where she led the transformation of a portfolio -- from major losses of patent exclusivity to accelerating the launch of five products -- while managing a $14 billion P&L for the company. Before joining Bristol Myers-Squibb, Ester she 25 years at Novartis where she held a variety of senior commercial positions and spearheaded the most successful product launch in the company’s history, before taking on the role of general manager of Oncology, Germany.
