Joel Brandenberger earns 2024 NTF Lifetime Achievement Award

He began his work with the National Turkey Federation in 1991 as director of public affairs, leading to his role as the fifth CEO in December 2006.

Joel Brandenberger, NTF president & CEO, was celebrated with the prestigious 2024 NTF Lifetime Achievement Award during the 2024 Annual Convention in Austin, Texas. The ceremony, held on Feb. 24, featured presentations by industry leaders, including Steve Lykken, 2023 NTF chairman, and CBS News Chief Washington Correspondent Major Garrett.

In a heartfelt tribute, Garrett described Brandenberger as a reliable and dedicated individual, emphasizing his unwavering commitment. Former NTF President Alice Johnson echoed this sentiment, highlighting Brandenberger's hard work and support both professionally and personally.

With a remarkable 33-year tenure at NTF,  Brandenberger announced his retirement in 2024. His journey began in 1991 as director of public affairs, leading to his role as the fifth CEO in December 2006. Notable achievements include seven Farm Bills and active participation in key industry programs.

Mike Briggs, 2006 NTF Chairman, expressed pride in Brandenberger's accomplishments and friendship. A Texas Tech University alumnus, he started his career as a journalist before contributing to legislative offices in Texas and the U.S. House of Representatives.
