Russia’s Cherkizovo Group has expanded its product range by fitting several types of poultry products into one package.

The company made the decision in an attempt to diversify the diets of their families without having to purchase multiple packages. With the new packaging, the products are sold in vacuum-sealed sectioned packages, with dedicated compartments for each type of meat. With the dedicated compartments in the packaging, the two types of cuts do not make contact, and better freshness is assured, the company said.

“The combination of several meat products bundled into one package is a relatively new offering for the Russian market, as our company seeks to lead the way in industry-specific innovations. Research shows that the new bundles are very popular and classified by consumers as their first-choice products. Indeed, it is very convenient to buy one pack instead of two and to please all members of your family without having to spend an extra penny,” Anastasia Mikhailova, Cherkizovo’s head of communications stated in a press release.

For Cherkizovo’s Petelinka chicken brand, the company has introduced a product that includes a mix of thing and breast filets, the only combined Petelinka product released to date.

For Cherkizovo’s Pava-Pava turkey brand, consumers can also buy a product that combines breast and thigh filets in similar packaging.

Cherkizovo has also released combined meat product packaging for some of its sausages and pork products.

Cherkizovo Group, according to the WATTPoultry.com Top Poultry Companies Database, is the second largest poultry producer in Russia and the eighth largest in Europe.
