Cobb opens new US research complex

Cobb-Vantress Inc. has opened a new research complex in Deer Lodge, Tenn., to increase its pedigree breeding activities. The $22 million complex comprises 34 poultry houses and a hatchery, involved in selecting and reproducing the pedigree lines, and producing the breeding stock that will in three generations supply the broiler chickens of the future.

Cobb-Vantress Inc. has opened a new research complex in Deer Lodge, Tenn., to increase its pedigree breeding activities.

The $22 million complex comprises 34 poultry houses and a hatchery, involved in selecting and reproducing the pedigree lines, and producing the breeding stock that will in three generations supply the broiler chickens of the future. It will create up to 115 new jobs in the area.
