Irish pig slaughters down in February

Ireland's Central Statistics Office reports that 188,900 pigs of a total carcass weight of 14,900 metric tons were slaughtered in Ireland in February, as compared with 226,000 pigs of a total carcass weight of 18,100 metric tons in February 2008.
