Ingham’s is recalling products sold in Gluten-Free Chicken Schnitzel 440-gram packaging due to a labeling error.
The Australian company issued the recall because the products in those packages carrying the best before date of August 4, 2019 are actually Southern Style Tenders that are not gluten-free, and therefore the products contain an undeclared allergen that could cause a reaction with certain consumers.
The affected Ingham’s chicken products were available for sale at Woolworths stores in Victoria, beginning March 29.
Consumers with a gluten allergy or intolerance are urged not to consume these products and return them to the place of purchase for a full cash refund.
“Ingham’s apologizes to their customers for any inconvenience caused by this recall,” the company stated.
