Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch announced it has hired a new vice president of Human Resources as part of the executive team at the fourth-generation family business.

Stephanie Kempa, in her new role, will build out Human Resources strategies and practices to guide Herbruck’s as it expands beyond the West Michigan region and brings its Pennsylvania-based Blue Springs Egg Farm online later this year. The addition of Kempa aligns with other recent leadership changes made by Herbruck’s to evolve and grow toward the future.

“I am looking forward to using my experience and passion in Human Resources to help Herbruck’s enhance employee well-being and provide opportunities for professional development,” Kempa said. “This is an especially exciting time for Herbruck’s as we expand operations, and I’m looking forward to shepherding our team through that growth.”

Kempa brings a wealth of expertise to the role having been a leader of Human Resources teams at industry-leading companies. She has more than 20 years of experience in Human Resources, as well as a master’s degree in the practice from Michigan State University.

The addition of Kempa supports Herbruck’s core mission, aligning with its four key pillars of success: People, Planet, Products and Prosperity. As part of the People pillar, Herbruck’s works hard to care for its employees and provide them with excellent training, on-the-job safety and health care so they can succeed at work and at home.

“We’re excited to welcome Stephanie to the Herbruck’s team and the development opportunities this gives to our whole company in growing our Human Resources capabilities and skills,” said Greg Herbruck, CEO of Herbruck’s. “Stephanie brings great experience and I know she will collaborate well with our talented team to keep pushing Herbruck’s toward the future.”

Kempa and her husband have two daughters and the family has lived in the Grand Rapids area for many years.
