Novus International, a global leader in animal health and nutrition solutions, has obtained approval for CIBENZA® EP150 enzyme feed additive in the European Union as of June 8, 2016.
The registration allows Novus to launch its first enzyme product in the EU, and it solidifies Novus as a key enzyme solution provider in every major continent. In addition, the Company plans to continue the expansion of its presence in the EU enzyme market.
A unique zootechnical registration recommended for use in protein-reduced diets, in times of volatile raw material prices and amino acid digestibility variability, CIBENZA® EP150 offers an ideal solution to optimize feed formulation and manage variability in bird performance. The product, a preparation of Bacillus licheniformis (ATCC 53757) and protease (EC 3.4.21.19), sets itself apart from other proteases in the market due to its specific composition and additional support in ensuring an optimal gut health as demonstrated in various researches. It can be used as a feed additive for chickens for fattening and reared for laying, minor poultry species for fattening and reared for laying, and ornamental birds.
"Novus comes from a strong background in animal health and nutrition solutions, and this initial registration of CIBENZA EP150 is just the beginning of our enzyme feed additive solutions being made available to our customers in the European Union," said Uwe Ranft, Area General Manager of Europe and the Middle East at Novus. "We are committed to solving our customers' pains, and CIBENZA EP150 is a tremendous tool for unlocking added value in poultry operations."
