John Deere has expanded its website to include more information on biodiesel and other biofuels.
“The biodiesel content on the website will help provide farmers and others interested in biofuels with more detailed information on this topic and John Deere’s position on how these fuels can most effectively produced and utilized as high-quality energy sources,” Don Borgman, director of agricultural industry relations for John Deere said, in a news release from the Lenexa, Kansas-based company.
John Deere was the first to approve B5 blends for general use in 2001 and initiated its factory fill program for self-propelled equipment in 2005.
The company is working with numerous producer and biofuels industry organizations and is investing millions of dollars in technologies and additives that will further encourage biodiesel use.
The John Deere biofuels information contains a detailed biofuels reference report and several videos that overviews John Deere’s position on the use of biodiesel.
