USPOULTRY issues grant to Mississippi State University

Dr. Ken Macklin plans to use the money for recruitment.

The USPOULTRY Foundation has granted $29,133 to Mississippi State University for student recruiting in poultry science. Dr. Ken Macklin, head of the department of poultry science, plans to enhance recruitment efforts and engage with local schools to promote poultry science careers.

This grant is part of a larger initiative, with a total of $297,580 awarded to 26 universities nationwide, supporting poultry programs. Funding is made possible by contributions from companies, individuals and proceeds from the International Poultry Expo.
