Buffalo Wild Wings unveiled four new chicken wing sauces this month, adding Orange Chicken, Lemon Pepper, Carolina Reaper and limited-time-only Pizza Wings to menus nationwide. The wing chain now sells a total of 26 wing flavors to top a choice of traditional, boneless or cauliflower wings.

Chicken wings are having a major moment during the pandemic. They travel well for takeout and delivery. As a result, several non-wing players have launched their own wing brands, including the parent company of Chili’s and Maggiano’s. Pizza chain Dominos recently upgraded their wings recipe as well.

Pizza Wings feature Garlic Parmesan sauce dusted with tomato powder and basil to give fans a “classic pizza flavor without all the carbs,” according to the chain’s website. Orange Chicken sauce delivers a sweet orange citrusy flavor accompanied by a hint of cayenne peppers and soy, while Lemon Pepper sauce blends lemon, black pepper and butter.

The Carolina Reaper sauce features the world’s hottest pepper, the Carolina Reaper, blended with hot sauce, vinegar, red pepper and onion.

“Guests love our sauces and the flavor variety is really what sets Buffalo Wild Wings apart from the competition,” Jamie Carawan, Vice President of Brand Menu and Culinary of Buffalo Wild Wings, said in a statement. “But we felt there was room for even more innovation when it comes to saucing our wings, so we dialed up the creativity in a way that should get wing lovers talking. We should own the conversation when it comes to wing sauce flavors and we intend to do that.”

Guests should expect to see more sauce innovation in coming years, Carawan said.

Football subscription service

In addition, the wings chain recently launched a wings subscription service for football fans in at 10 select locations throughout Cleveland, Ohio.

The first-of-a-kind $750 season ticket package includes four seats per game in a custom-designed Dawg Pound section in the sports bar during Browns games, a gameday spread of traditional and boneless wings, fries, nachos and fountain drinks and a custom welcome package featuring a season ticket booklet, orange Cleveland cooler, customer Dawg Pound face masks and more.
