The International Poultry Expo/International Feed Expo (IPE/IFE) will bring together 20,000 industry leaders from over 100 countries in Atlanta from January 26 to 28, 2011.
Sponsored by the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association (USPOULTRY) and the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA), IPE/IFE is the world's largest display of technology, equipment, supplies and services used in the production and processing of poultry, eggs and in feed manufacturing.
Nearly 800 exhibiting companies will gather to showcase their latest technology, network, and become educated on the latest developments and issues facing the industries today and in the future.
Seminars and workshops presented by industry experts, scientists and top-level company executives will update attendees on current and prospective industry issues. Attendees are invited to take advantage of these opportunities at no charge.
Expo highlights
Animal Ag Environmental Sustainability Summit: The third annual Animal Ag Environmental Sustainability Summit January 25 and 26 brings together leaders in the poultry, livestock and rendering industries to discuss the latest developments in addressing the need to protect the environment and maximize production potential.
International Poultry Scientific Forum: Over 700 poultry scientists meet to hear and present papers and posters outlining the results of recent research. The Forum will take place on January 24 and 25, and will include information on such industry topics as environmental management, nutrition, physiology, pathology, processing and products, and avian diseases.
U.S. Poultry & Egg Association’s Educational Program: Every year USPOULTRY features top industry speakers to address the latest issues facing the industry. This year, the program is on January 27.
AFIA International Feed Education: The American Feed Industry Association will provide updates on the latest developments in technology and regulatory issues as they impact the commercial feed industry at AFIA’s International Feed Education program on January 27.
Market Intelligence Forum: With the start of a new year, the Market Intelligence Forum on January 28 provides attendees insights on the factors affecting production and prices in the U.S. and global poultry markets.
Special poultry and feed programs
A favorite among the USPOULTRY seminars, the 2011 Hatchery-Breeder Clinic will move from its traditional July dates to January 25 and 26. The program covers hatchery operations and breeder flock management (English/Spanish). Registration is $150 for USPOULTRY members; $300 non-members prior to January 8.
The American Feed Industry Association and Poultry Protein and Fat Council will be presenting its fourth annual Pet Food Conference on January 25 and 26. The conference provides the latest updates on regulations affecting pet foods and also present market data. Pre-registration is $75 prior to January 8; registration onsite is $95.
The Salmonella and Campylobacter Reduction Conference, sponsored by the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association, the North American Meat Processors Association, Auburn University and the National Chicken Council, will feature two half-day sessions on January 26 and 27. The conference will bring together researchers and industry experts in a forum designed to provide technical guidance and advice on addressing food safety policies aimed at controlling Salmonella and Campylobacter within poultry. Pre-registration is $150 prior to January 8.

Resuming for 2011 is the popular “Members to Atlanta” (M2A) program, which waives the registration fee for attendees from member firms of either association engaged in the production of poultry, egg, and feed products.

“FeatherFest” will again take over Atlanta during the Expo, sponsored by USPOULTRY and the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau. Participating Atlanta restaurants will create “special menu” poultry dishes exclusively for IPE week. Attendees are invited to enjoy some of the best restaurants Atlanta and cast their votes for the best poultry and egg dishes from over 50 competing restaurants.
